Brian’s 17 years of experience have taken him to work for a diversity of organizations across Canada, and around the globe. Previously, he was a senior designer for Hummingbird Ltd. He also worked as manager of creative services for Streampipe, design consultant for BET.com, senior designer for TV-on-the-Web, display manager for OK Zimbabwe. Since founding BmDodo Strategic Design in 1998, Brian has most notably directed complete brand re-design projects for the United Way of Kingston, ELORIN, Pure Ingenuity Inc., and Innovation Park at Queen’s University.
Brian believes strongly in getting involved and giving back to the community. He is currently a member of the Ripples editorial committee at the Community Foundation for Greater Kingston, and maintains active participation with the United Way through a variety of community initiatives.
Always dedicated to advancing the graphic design profession, Brian is a director with the Registered Graphic Designers of Ontario, and he was the founding president of GRAZI, the Graphics Association of Zimbabwe.
Brian holds the prestigious RGD accreditation from the Association of Registered Graphic Designers of Ontario, as well as certificates in design, design management and project management. He received his licentiateship certificate in Graphic Communication Management from City and Guilds of London, a post-graduate certificate in Graphic Reproduction from Harare Polytechnic and a Diploma in Graphic Design from the College of Art and Design. Brian is also a professional member of the Design Management Institute.
As a personal project, Brian is currently developing a series of socially-conscious posters to help highlight the problems facing the world today. In his spare time, Brian plays soccer in the Kingston Men’s Soccer league and enjoys squash.
