Dana is fresh out of Carleton University with a Bachelor of Industrial Design (2010), focusing her design studies on product development and the design process — from conceptualization through to the end of a product's lifecycle. Her background includes design research, user testing and usability (ergonomics), knowledge of materials and mass production processes, prototyping, CAD modelling and computer rendering.
Dana has returned to BmDodo Strategic Design after completing a one year internship with the company. Independently, she has worked on projects with the St. Lawrence Parks Commission, the Canadian Military for the Limestone Classic, the Fort Henry Guard Club of Canada and the Canadian War Museum. She has also participated in notable design competitions, and won first place at the CONNECT Design Exchange National Student Design Competition with Canadian Tire in 2007.
When not designing, Dana likes to spend her time cooking and trying out new recipes, reading, exploring Kingston, firing cannons and wearing costumes.
