Kingston Airport's "from here to anywhere" promotional print materials are being awarded first place in the print advertising category of the ACI-NA's (Airport Council International - North America) 2010 Excellence in Marketing and Communications contest according to the organization's Centrelines Weekly.

"We've been extremely happy with our beautiful new logo and ads. This kind of recognition demonstrates that good design effectively augments our reputation within the industry while promoting our services. Hats off to Brian Dodo," says David Snow, Airport Manager. He notes that the Kingston Airport advertisements were placed in a wide variety of local print media including the Kingston Whig-Standard, Profile Kingston, Kingston Publications and Queen's Gazette.
The materials, designed for the City by Brian Dodo of BmDodo Strategic Design, beat out a field of submissions from 55 airports around the world - including ones from the Aeroports de Montreal, which placed second in this category, and Denver and Louisville International Airports which tied for third. More than 250 submissions overall were received for the 17 categories covered by the ACI-NAs Excellence in Marketing and Communications contest.
"We are extremely happy. We didn't design for awards, we designed for the purposes of the airport, but it's always nice to be recognized," says Dodo.
Kingston Airport served more than 76,000 passengers in 2009 connecting them with flights to every continent.
