Kingston Airport needed to clearly distinguish itself as the main airport in Eastern Ontario between Brockville and Belleville and assert its position as the main travel gateway to the world in this region.

In the fall of 2008, the City of Kingston hired BmDodo Strategic Design to develop an effective branding, marketing and promotional strategy for Kingston Airport. The primary goals of this process were to correct the public misperception that the Kingston Airport is a flying club and to help increase the passenger base.
Background: Kingston Airport has been owned, maintained and operated by the City of Kingston since 1974. The airport has regularly-scheduled air service, contracted air ambulance service, on-demand charter service, flight training and general recreational flying.
Key Objectives
1. Designing and developing an effective corporate identity
2. Designing and developing corporate standard guidelines
3. Developing a positioning statement for the airport
4. Designing and developing effective signage system
5. Developing an effective promotional campaign

The Logo
The Kingston Airport logo is designed to get people to think big. You can start your journey at Kingston Airport and go anywhere in the world. The first arc begins at the word Kingston and travels outward toward a burst of opportunities. The logo has a modern look and feel. When people think of Kingston Airport, we want them to think of modern airplanes and amenities.
Positioning Statement
From Here to Anywhere
This positioning statement (tagline) addresses both the local and global connections (here and anywhere, respectively) and positions Kingston Airport as a means of connecting the two. It also offers a hint of limitless opportunity with Kingston as the starting point.
